I will show you how to make postcard size drawings with pastel, and how to create it as a workshop.

This is based on the color theory of Goethe and Waldorf Education, what I learned in Germany and Switzerland.

We are using only three colors, blue, yellow and red. But you will discover that yellow has cold yellow and warm yellow, there are two different nuances. So we use pastels in six colors. There are two blue, two yellow and two red.

Well, let's draw it. Please see the movie page for how to draw.

Invite your friends and let 's draw together with more than four people. It is only by drawing in the same way in the group, the brightness of each personality becomes clearly visible.

Workshop will be done in three parts, "Introduction", "Experience", "Appreciation".

Care and Cureケアと治療

The pastel drawing with three primary colors, was born is day care of children’s psychiatry called "KODOMO NO SONO" in Ushiku city. About two years since the start of clinic, I was in charge of color play by twice monthly with watercolor painting. After few years, Ms. Masako Kosuge, who learned watercolor of Steiner education from me in " Educational Art for Adults" courses in Tokyo, is Ushiku attended. For young chilren, let them draw on the wetted paper with color blur.

One day, as usual she spread the wet paper and called the children to come. A boy who placed a brush with color on the wet paper, ran away shouting and screaming "I'm afraid of moving color!". "Let's try it in a pastel!", Ms. Kosuge decided to do a color experience of watercolors by a method to spread pastel color on paper with cotton. She did it, what she learned from Ms. Yasuko Uchida, who studied Steiner's special education for Handicapped persons.

This is the beginning of the pastel drawing with three primary colors. From the beginning, it is a technique that was completed with the expectation of care and cure work. It is inevitable that there are many people who look at pictures decorated as "healed" in medicine and nursing care, and show their lively expressions by themselves.

But what kind of picture or color should you encourage patients to experience? No matter what a famous painter's work, there are pictures that can not be decorated at the hospital, Dr. Minoru Kamata, as a Chief of Suwa Chuo Hospital who displayed my work showed me.

Devices that allow you to enjoy tools as well as those with hemiplegia are necessary. By sharing the experiences on this field, I would like to make sure that smiling face increases for both the principal and the surrounding people.

The word itself says that Education in English and Erzhieung in German are "pulling out" education. In a pastel painting experience, I think it would be wonderful if we could create various colors in a free and generous atmosphere that allows each person to shine the brightness hidden inside. It is possible for children to try themselves, try trial and error, that they have co-workers who share this pastel experience of color and color. That is the premise.

Discuss in "Introduction" and confirm the color experience that day.

In "Experience" we follow the rule of color experiences that everyone decided to do. Use the same color and draw in the same way. Still the personality glows. Rather than having a companion to compare, individual differences can be clearly seen. Even though they look alike, you will see that there are differences when you look closely.

Always let “Appreciate” have that time. And I will announce the impression of "searching for a good point" of each other 'sworks. It is a training to positively grasp things.

Perhaps this pastel drawing experience may be necessary to strengthen the power of parents and teachers who perceive subtle differences and individuality of each student.
